February 10th our meeting presentation will be Colorado Pet Pantry, a food bank for pets established in 2013. Starting with just 2 food banks they have grown to over 100 pet food banks around our state of Colorado. They served over 7.5 million meals last year. 125,000 dogs and cats were able to stay in their homes with their families. 38,000 families were kept whole and supported through hard times. Colorado Pet Pantry also assisted over 50 rescues with food, kennels, collars, beds, etc.

If you are able, we are asking you to bring to the meeting bagged pet food, cans, treats, kennels etc. We will take open bags too. We also accept collars, beds, toys, leashes etc. New or used is welcomed and needed. We also accept grocery bags if you are looking for a place to get rid of those plastic bags.

Our speaker will be Mark Mascardo, Marketing and Events Manager for Colorado Pet Pantry. He will share with you the amazing work this organization has done for our state and both our two legged and four legged citizens.

You are welcome to bring your pet as long as they stay leashed and are friendly. They are family too! Naomi thinks that would be pretty cool too!

Integrated Family Community Services (IFCS) provides essential support to individuals and families in our community who are experiencing food insecurity and hunger. Each day, many face difficult choices between putting food on the table and meeting other basic needs.

As part of our partnership with IFCS, they have invited 10 Centennial Rotary volunteers to assist at the Nibbles & Sips Gala from 5:00–8:30 p.m. (Note: There's a seperate signup for that event.)

This volunteer opportunity supports the IFCS team with event setup for their signature fundraising event, helping ensure a successful evening that directly benefits those they serve.

ARTMA Fundraiser – Morgan Adams Foundation

Attend or Volunteer

Our Pediatric Cancer Partner, the Morgan Adams Foundation, is hosting its biennial ARTMA fundraiser right here in Centennial. Rotarians are encouraged to attend and/or volunteer.

ARTMA is a unique, funky, and inspiring art auction and fundraising event that celebrates the healing power of art while supporting pediatric, adolescent, and young adult cancer research. The event was created in loving memory of Morgan Adams, a six-year-old girl who lost her courageous battle with a glioblastoma brain tumor. In her honor, ARTMA has grown into a powerful expression of hope, community, and compassion.

Through generous art donations from local, regional, and nationally recognized artists — and strong community support — ARTMA has become a truly magical and meaningful event.

ATTEND ARTMA

VOLUNTEER AT ARTMA

Rocky Mountain Honor Flight is a Denver Colorado-based non-profit organization formed in 2007. Our goal is to fly every able and willing Veteran to Washington D.C. to visit the monuments and memorials dedicated to their service. Our priority is with World War II and terminally ill Veterans. We also accept applications from all Veterans, including Veterans with various disabilities. We are a member of Honor Flight Network, which began this activity in 2005 and began flying with commercial charter aircraft in 2006 from Dayton, Ohio. There are now about 130 “hubs”, from which flights originate around the country. National Honor Flight Network provides us with logistical support as well as arranging activities in Washington D.C.
