The Centennial Rotary Club successfully completed its annual Palisade peach and pear sale on Saturday, August 23, raising over $16,000 for its' foundation. The event had 25 club members participating to deliver 950 boxes of fruit, with over 450 customers picking up their orders.
The fundraiser is a cornerstone project for the club, and customers were quick to praise the quality. "We buy our peaches from Centennial Rotary because they have the best Palisade peaches and pears every year, and this year is no exception," said one of many happy customers.
The funds raised will support the Centennial Rotary Foundation's mission to help the community. These funds are used for a variety of projects, including providing support to local law enforcement, contributing to Rotary International's project to eradicate measles in the world, supporting the Food Bank of the Rockies, and helping fund other essential charities locally and world wide.
This year's sale was a great success, thanks to the overwhelming support from the community, allowing the club to continue its long-standing tradition of service.
