The Centennial Rotary Club is proud to recognize fellow Rotarian David “Willy” Willman for receiving the Rotary Foundation Citation for Meritorious Service, one of the highest honors awarded by Rotary International.

This award honors Rotarians who demonstrate exceptional service beyond the club level, contributing at the district and international levels and exemplifying Rotary’s mission of Service Above Self.

Dave’s leadership, generosity, and willingness to serve wherever needed reflect the very best of Rotary. He joined Rotary nearly 15 years ago and became a member of the Centennial Rotary Club 18 months ago.

Pictured with Dave are Mike Klingbiel, District 5450 Foundation Chair, and Matt McLaurin, Centennial Rotary Club President (2025–2026).

Please join us in congratulating Dave on this well-deserved honor.

👏 Well done, Dave!

The second annual pickleball ball tournament was held January 31st in partnership with the Rotary Club of Cherry Creek. Wirh over 50 players, this event was a successful fundraiser with profits going to both club's foundations. Our Rad Elekovic did a tremendous job of putting this together for our club with the help of many of our members.
At our December 2nd meeting, the new 26-27 Board of Directors were elected. Pictured are Katherine Henschen Hauff, President, Randy Beall, President Elect, CJ Lydon, Sargent at Arms, John McCarty, Fundraising, James Downing, Membership, Kent Ostedgaard, Treasurer (3 year), Jennifer Matthews, Social and Matt McLaurin, Immediate Past President. The Rotary Club of Centennial volunteered at the well-attended "Sip in Centennial" wine and whiskey tasting event at Centennial Park on Saturday, October 25.

Our club assisted the City of Centennial by managing the sale of tasting cards on-site for walk-up attendees, as well as selling water and beer. The day was a great success, featuring excellent beverages, diverse food trucks, live entertainment, and perfect weather.

Funds raised by the club from these sales will be reinvested into the Centennial community through our various local service initiatives. Thank you to everyone who supported us!

The Centennial Rotary Club successfully completed its annual Palisade peach and pear sale on Saturday, August 23, raising over $16,000 for its' foundation. The event had 25 club members participating to deliver 950 boxes of fruit, with over 450 customers picking up their orders.

The fundraiser is a cornerstone project for the club, and customers were quick to praise the quality. "We buy our peaches from Centennial Rotary because they have the best Palisade peaches and pears every year, and this year is no exception," said one of many happy customers.

The funds raised will support the Centennial Rotary Foundation's mission to help the community. These funds are used for a variety of projects, including providing support to local law enforcement, contributing to Rotary International's project to eradicate measles in the world, supporting the Food Bank of the Rockies, and helping fund other essential charities locally and world wide.

This year's sale was a great success, thanks to the overwhelming support from the community, allowing the club to continue its long-standing tradition of service.

The second annual Bicycle Round-up was a major success collecting and then donating over 600 bikes.
On May 8, 2025, our club hosted the 19th annual State Of Our City at The Wings Over The Rockies-Centennial Airport. With over 300 city leaders in attendance, Our Club President Michael Tapp and Centennial Mayor Stephanie Piko were the guest speakers. The majority of our club members led by Chairperson Audra McLaurin participated in another successful event.

The Centennial and Denver Cherry Creek Rotary Clubs were proud to sponsor the 2025 Charity Pickleball Classic, on Sunday, January 26th, at South Suburban Indoor Pickleball (SSIA). All profits from registration, sponsorship, raffles, and donations support the important work these two Rotary clubs are doing in our community. 26 teams battled to the final four with these champions pictured above. The final champions, David and Matthew as well as second and third place winners were presented Kamikaze racquets. Rad Elekovic, event chairman is pictured with the champions.

24 members of our club met at the Centennial Airport conference room to hold a visioning exercise. With the help of the district Visioning Team, the future plans for the nature of our club were discussed.

Centennial Rotary members assembled at the King Soopers at Arapahoe Crossing on December 21, 2024. Rotarian Eric Hauff led the team where cash and over 12 shopping carts of food and hygiene products were collected. Even Santa and his trusty reindawg Calli showed up despite their busy upcoming commitments to children worldwide.

Once again, Santa Clothes came to Kohl's Department Store at Arapahoe Crossing. Centennial Rotarians gathered to help 35 kiddos shop for $135 worth of clothing or shoes each. Led by Rotarian Diane Zing, this annual event brought happiness to the children and joy to the Rotarians helping.
